Car Booty At Long Last!

First of all....my fun freebie! All I had to do was guess what this was...and the lady gave it to me!
It's a "food-pod". A silicone boil in bag steamer thing! I'd just seen it in a specialty shop for £7 or so and I got it for knowing what it was! Woo Hoo!

Here is my fave spot. Most of the treasures that I keep live here.

Charming owl bookends...I just couldn't part with them!

1950s poodle dish. It ticked my poodle box & my perfect vintage green box!

I love my greens!

Roses & Lavendar from Mumsie Woo's house.

My £2 1930s Sylvac vase!

Gorgeous vintage tin with green & roses...there are bows on top but they're hard to see.

1930s Czec brooch & mid-century Mother brooch

this 1930s dish was found buried in a long forgotten rubbish tip!

1960s or 70s Piano Jewellry box, I just need to replace the music box.

Victorian Sterling Silvery Chester Cathedral Brooch....got it for 25p!

The freakish vintage Scottish "lucky" grouse foot brooch (obviously not luck for the grouse!). It's probably 1950, possibly earlier. 20p paid! It's worth £20 (at least!)!

I've sold some of my other finds so that I can find more treasures! We're going again this Sunday and making a day of it! Mr Woo will even get to come this time!
What do ya think?

A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When your fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for you keep
You wait for the morning sunlight
To find fortune that is smiling on you
Don't let your heart be full of sorrow
For all you know tomorrow
The dream that you wish will come true
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true

Isn't it just one of the most wonderful feelings to get something, wrapped in brown, in the post, addressed to you. It is one of my greatest pleasures! If you've been with me for a while you know that well! I squeal with delight at the sight of the postman heading to my door!
Today was one of those lucky days when he rang the bell - that means whatever he has for us won't fit through the letter box! Which means it's a parcel!!!!!

And it had MY NAME ON IT! AND IT WAS FROM A DEAR & LOVELY FRIEND!!!!
 {remember Kitty from Fritzi Marie?}

This whole blogging thing is pretty darn amazing. I've made some true and wonderful friends through blogging...and just wait til you see how I've been blessed this time!

loving the colors. loving the tag. loving the buttons!
Kat?! how could you part with vintage buttons?!
she knows me.
gorgeous card!
gasp! look at all of those treasures! Did you know purple is my fave color??? check out  those fun socks!
I don't know if you know this Kat, but I can't ever find my name on anything!!!!!
This is so special!
beautiful and inspiring just like Kat.
a frame for a photo of Poppy.

My day started out pretty rough, but then the parcel full of love and knowingness arrived. It has all changed, even the weather is brighter now! Thank you so, so, so much my Dear friend Kat.
There aren't words to express how moved I am by your generosity and caring. You are an amazing woman, I am so glad we met because of blogs and a shared love of vintage!

Much love,

Jumble Sale Treasures!

I've scored again at the annual Clatterbridge Jumble Sale at the Kelsall Community Centre! Woo Hoo!

The teacup on top of my tower of treasures is from the last jumble sale, but I just had to show you one of my most fave things in my home! There is a beautiful cake plate that goes with the teacup they cost £1! The doily's vintage and from a craft fair! All except the big one which was given to me by Jaynie! Her grandmother made it years ago! That gorgeous ring is from The Hen's Army!

The green just does NOT photo true! This is the closest I could get! But isn't it a fab vintage plant pot

Another of my absolute faves! And another sweet gift from my bestest pal/other mother Jayne! I'm really into lidded pots right now...and isn't the color just divine!

I've got to find the perfect frame for this print! A gift from Damn French Desserts! They were one of the Fabulous Friend's featured here in February. Thanks ladies! You're so talented and so sweet!!!! I can't even tell you how touched I am to recieve a peice of your work!

This has to be my favorite spot in our home. The sideboard belonged to a couple who were married in 1946. We also have their 3 peice living room suite and the ladies dressing table. They're the Utility make. I just love them all! The typewriter and sewing machine {which both work and I use!} were from the first Clatterbridge jumble sale and Auction! I got them both for £15!

sweet green pots! There are 3 but I was using one!
A "Miss" Lady plate. I've got another "Dainty Miss" plate and a few other lovey ladies too!

I've got a little thistle sugar bowl too...from a previous jumble sale!
I wasn't going to be able to resist forever!
sorry about the glare! Mr Woo was not a fan....until it was on the wall anyhow!
Well.....I am over the moon to say the least!
In total I spent £6! Can you believe it?!!!!!

Now it's your turn to show & tell about your treasures!
